Conference Schedule
IAMFA's 35th Anniversary Conference features an unprecedented educational program hosted across Washington's most prestigious cultural institutions. Attendees will participate in specialized sessions and receive behind-the-scenes tours led by each venue's facilities management teams, gaining exclusive insights into recent capital projects, innovative operational systems, and cutting-edge preservation techniques. These behind-the-scenes experiences offer rare access to spaces and expertise typically unavailable to the public.




Beyond the Mall: Optional Extension Day
Extend your experience with our optional additional day featuring visits to:
- Dumbarton Oaks - Tours of this Georgetown historical estate’s famous gardens will be offered, along with the opportunity to learn about the museum’s newest building, the Farrand House.
- Glenstone - Lunch will be provided on-site at this contemporary art museum in nearby Maryland. Multiple tours will be offered, including access to the recently renovated pavilions and of the museum’s mechanical rooms.
Guest Program Schedule
The Guest Program provides an exceptional cultural journey through Washington's most treasured institutions, from the United States Botanic Garden to the National Gallery of Art. Participants will enjoy exclusive receptions, free access to all Smithsonian museums, the National Gallery of Art, and others, with an optional day exploring the renowned Dumbarton Oaks estate and the contemporary museum at Glenstone.
